I am interested in looking at the mechanisms that drive plant invasions and their impacts on native species. For my PhD thesis, I looked at how the South American shrub Lantana camara is distributed in time and space and how the seedlings of native woody species respond to the presence of this invader. I have a background in botany and was always fascinated by plants and their brilliant survival strategies. Ecology was an obvious choice!
