Jaideep Pradeep Joshi
I graduated from IIT Bombay with a BTech in Electrical Engineering in 2011. I worked on a project with Prof. R. Sukumar at CES from Feb-July 2012 where I tried to model forest fires throughout India using a process based approach at the level of plant functional types. I joined as a PhD student with Prof. Vishwesha Guttal in August 2012. Prior to joining CES, I worked as an external consultant in Jan 2012 with Prof. G. Bala from CAOS on climate change projections for India.
My interests are in mathematical ecology. For my PhD, I will probably work on evolution of collective animal movement.
