I am interested in diversity at various levels of
organisation, from genes to ecosystems, and at
various scales from local communities to macro-
ecological scales. My research group works on the
community ecology and biogeography of various
taxa, including marine invertebrates, fish,
amphibians, reptiles and birds. We combine field
ecology, phylogenetics and ecological modelling to
understand evolutionary and biogeography patterns. I
am also continuing my research on the ecology and
evolutionary biology of marine turtles
Frogs of Western Ghats provide a good model system to understand diversification Our research on snakes focuses on testing dispersal routes and geographic variation in morphological traits Research on frogs spans from understanding flocks to macroecological patterns
