Current Conservation

Current Conservation carries the latest in research news from the natural- and social-science facets of conservation, such as conservation biology, environmental history, anthropology and sociology, ecological economics, landscape ecology, etc. Current Conservation also periodically translates the content of other conservation journals; it has formed partnerships with Biological Conservation, Endangered Species Research and Conservation and Society to promote the dissemination of published conservation research. I co-edit the magazine with Ankila Hiremath.

Conservation and Society
Conservation and Society is an open access, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practice of conservation. The journal draws on both natural and social sciences and covers basic and applied research in areas including  political ecology, environmental history, anthropology and sociology, human ecology, conservation policy and governance, human-wildlife conflicts, landscape ecology, restoration ecology and conservation biology. The journal is published by ATREE on behalf of an informal alliance of scientists. I co-edit the journal with Kamal Bawa, Dan Brockington and Heather Goodall.

Indian Ocean Turtle Newsletter

The Indian Ocean Turtle Newsletter was initiated to provide a forum for exchange of information on sea turtle biology and conservation, management and education and awareness in the in the Indian subcontinent, Indian Ocean region, and South/Southeast Asia. The newsletter is distributed free of cost to over 1000 subscribers, including government and non- government organisations and individuals in the region. I co-edit the newsletter with Chloe Schauble.

Kachhapa

Kachhapa was initiated as a part of Operation Kachhapa, a project for sea turtle conservation in Orissa. Kachhapa was also initiated to provide a forum for exchange of information on sea turtle biology and conservation, mainly in the Indian subcontinent. I started the journal and edited it between 1999 and 2003. The journal was supported and published by the Wildlife Protection Society of India, New Delhi. Old issues (1-9) are available here at www.iotn.org.
