MORPHOLOGY


     Trees, 15 - 20 m. Leaves opposite or subopposite, elliptic - 
oblong,  acuminate  -  caudate at apex, acute  at  base.  Flowers 
yellow in lax panicles. Perianth lobes fleshy, ovate.  Staminodes 
hastate, cordate. Fruits ellipsoid, on fleshy cup.

UTILITY


Uses       -  General   - Bark & leaves used in spices, oil
              Medicinal - Stomach disorders cure

Principles -  Cinnamic aldehyde
