MORPHOLOGY


     Large,  evergreen trees, 25-30m; latex milky. Leaves  oblong 
to obovate - oblong, entire, glossy above, acute. Lateral  nerves 
7 - 8 pairs. Stipules spathaceous, 5 - 8 cm long. Syncarps large, 
oblong or cylindrical, tubercled, 30 - 60 x 10 - 40 cm.
