The Ministry of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources was disseminating the results of UNCED by distributing copies of Agenda 21 and other publications, as well as holding national conferences and talks. Its Department of International Affairs has been restructured to meet the new demands created by UNCED. Three work sessions were called in September 1992 to evaluate the commitments made at UNCED on the regional level, and an extraordinary session of the General Direction was held in October 1992 to discuss integrating the results of UNCED in its program.
